The Nazm Center for Planning and Development at the Al-Imam Ali Holy Shrine organized a specialized training workshop for a select group of personnel from the General Secretariat of the Holy Shi’a Shrines. The workshop, titled “Managing and Designing Public Events,” aimed to enhance the cultural and administrative skills of employees involved in organizing large-scale programs and public activities. The sessions were held at the City of Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him).

The workshop trainer, Akram Al-Sayyab, highlighted the key themes covered, saying, “The workshop focused on the fundamentals of planning public events, mechanisms for implementation, evaluation methods, and media outreach. It also addressed topics such as venue design, message and concept development, audience engagement, and achieving interaction and intended goals.”

Al-Sayyab praised the high level of participation and commitment shown by attendees, expressing his hope that “the workshop will contribute to creating a meaningful developmental impact on future events organized by the holy shrines.”

For his part, Sayyid Ahmed Al-Husseini, Cultural Assistant at the Shrine of Imam Al-Qasim, son of Imam Musa ibn Ja‘far (peace be upon them), stated that “this workshop is the first of its kind and aims to elevate the cultural competencies of cultural assistants in the sacred shrines through a three-day training program focused on developing cultural plans, strengthening programs, and raising the efficiency of staff in this field.” He affirmed the General Secretariat’s support for such developmental initiatives.
