Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Commemorates the Birth Anniversary of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Erbil

Imam Hussain Holy Shrine commemorated the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), in the governorate of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region, in an atmosphere of faith filled with love and peace. The event was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments in the region and was attended by a wide audience that included religious and social figures, as well as citizens from various sects, religions, and areas of the region.

The occasion featured a notable participation by the representative of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in the Kurdistan Region, Sheikh Ali Al-Qarawi, who affirmed that the event serves as a reaffirmation of the inclusive humanitarian approach embodied by Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and as a reinforcement of the values of peaceful coexistence and national unity among the sons of the Iraqi people.

In his address during the celebration, Sheikh Al-Qarawi said, “We commemorated the birth anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in the governorate of Erbil with a high level of coordination with our brothers in the Ministry of Endowments, and with a large attendance diverse in languages and cultures. Today, we came together to convey a message of unity and cohesion among all segments of our dear Iraqi people.”

He added that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to carry out its religious and humanitarian mission inside and outside Iraq, striving to promote the values of love and fraternity and to reject division, drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).

This event comes within the framework of joint efforts to strengthen a moderate religious discourse and to build bridges of communication among different components, contributing to the consolidation of stability and social peace in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a whole.
