Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Ranks Second Among Private Universities in Iraq for 2025

For the second year in a row, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him), affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has achieved second place among private universities in Iraq, according to the results of the Iraqi University Classification for 2025 announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The President of the University, Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, said in a statement to the official website that “Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him), affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has secured second place among private universities in Iraq for the second consecutive year, based on the results of the Iraqi University Classification for 2025 issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.”

He explained that “this continued advancement achieved by the university reflects the institutional efforts made to elevate the educational process and enhance the quality of academic and research outputs.”

He added that “the classification evaluated the performance of (103) public and private universities, relying on nine main pillars, including institutional accreditation standards, research effectiveness, global rankings, sustainable development, green indicators, international diversity, scientific awards, academic compliance, occupational health and safety, in addition to university activities.”

This achievement underscores the strategic approach adopted by the presidency of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in developing the educational environment, stimulating scientific research, and building effective academic partnerships, in line with national and international quality standards, and strengthening the university’s standing among Iraq’s leading academic institutions.
