University of Warith Al-Anbiya (A.S.) Ranks First Among Iraqi Private Universities in Times Arab University Rankings 2026

The University of Warith Al-Anbiya (A.S.), affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has achieved a significant academic milestone after securing first place among private universities in Iraq in the Times Arab University Rankings for 2026.

Dr. Waqid Hamid Al-Moussawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, told the official website that “the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (A.S.), affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has achieved a distinguished academic accomplishment by ranking first among Iraqi private universities in the Times Arab Region Rankings for 2026,” noting that “a total of (57) Iraqi universities participated in the ranking.”

He added that “the results also placed the university second overall among both public and private Iraqi universities, marking a qualitative advancement that reflects the development of its educational and research system in recent years.”

Dr. Al-Moussawi emphasized that “this excellence is the result of adopting modern academic standards, updating academic programs, strengthening scientific research output, and providing a supportive educational environment for students and faculty members.”

The Times Rankings are among the world’s leading evaluation systems, relying on criteria such as quality of education, scientific research, societal impact, and academic partnerships, placing the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (A.S.) at the forefront of Iraqi private universities in the 2026 Times Arab Rankings.
