This year’s edition is distinguished by significant participation from women scholars and figures representing more than 20 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Arab world.”
He explained that “the festival features a wide range of events, including the opening of an art exhibition dedicated to Lady al-Zahra (peace be upon her), followed by research sessions involving members of the seminary, academic panels, and sessions for women participants.”
Sultan added that “the women’s sessions will be held at Al-Zahra University and Al-Sibtain University to expand the festival’s reach beyond the physical boundaries of the Imam Hussain Shrine. Additional activities and celebrations will take place at several universities, including the University of Karbala and the University of Technology in Baghdad. On Saturday, the festival will also host the Takleef Ceremony for more than 1,000 girls reaching religious responsibility age.”
