The Mathematics Department at the College of Education, Al-Zahraa University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, organized the fifth World Mathematics Day Festival, celebrating the world of numbers and its creative dimensions and wide-ranging applications that contribute to advancing scientific innovation.
The Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Iman Samir Bahiyya, said in a statement to the official website, “The Mathematics Department at the College of Education at Al-Zahraa University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, organized the fifth World Mathematics Day Festival, celebrating the world of numbers and its creative dimensions and wide-ranging applications that contribute to advancing scientific innovation.”
She explained that “the festival program included a variety of scientific activities that reflected integration between theoretical and applied aspects, contributing to showcasing students’ abilities and enhancing scientific engagement, in line with the department’s goals of supporting academic activities and fostering interest in mathematics.”
She added that “the organization of the festival comes within the university’s broader efforts to establish a solid scientific culture and strengthen the presence of extracurricular activities that support the educational process.”
The university places strong emphasis on developing students’ intellectual and analytical skills, refining their abilities in logical and creative thinking, and encouraging positive engagement with mathematical sciences and their applications across various aspects of life.
