Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Advances Al-Diyar Al-Tayyiba Housing Project in Karbala

Under the direction of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, the Expansion Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of work on the Al-Diyar Al-Tayyiba residential project for low-income families in Karbala province.

The head of the department, engineer Hussein Reda Mehdi, said in a statement to the official website, “Under the guidance of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, the Expansion Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues work on the Al-Diyar Al-Tayyiba housing project for low-income families in Karbala province.”

He explained that “the project includes (422) residential units, and it was previously announced that (232) units had been completed and furnished. Of these, (204) units have been handed over to eligible beneficiaries, while work continues on completing the remaining residential units.”

He added that “the project is being built on an area of (40) dunams and includes a central mosque, two schools, and sports and recreational facilities, in addition to an advanced water treatment and desalination system to ensure self-sufficiency and quality within the city. Green spaces account for (40%) of the total area.”

He continued that “the project represents a qualitative step toward strengthening social security by providing a comfortable and safe residential environment for eligible families, equipped with all essential facilities and built to the highest quality standards.”

This project is part of a series of service initiatives carried out by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through the Expansion Projects Department, aimed at supporting infrastructure development and providing the best services to citizens in a way that preserves and upholds their dignity.
