12-Day Breast Screening Initiative Launched by Al-Sayyida Khadija Hospital

Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Specialized Hospital for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the launch of a health initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of early detection of breast diseases. The initiative will provide comprehensive medical services at subsidized prices for a period of 12 days.

In a statement obtained by the official website, the hospital said that “Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Specialized Hospital for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, will launch a health initiative aimed at promoting awareness of the importance of early detection of breast diseases.”

The hospital explained that “the initiative comes as part of its focus on women’s health, and will continue for 12 days under the supervision of a specialized female medical team, in line with modern medical standards in early diagnosis and treatment.”

It added that “the initiative includes the provision of free medical consultations, in addition to ultrasound and mammogram examinations at a discount of up to 50%, with the aim of encouraging women to undergo regular screenings and early detection.”

The statement further clarified that “the initiative will begin on Sunday, March 29 of the current month, and will continue until Wednesday, April 8 of next month, with examinations conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.”

The hospital emphasized that “early detection is one of the most important factors contributing to higher recovery rates and reduced complications, and we urge women not to delay screening and to continuously take care of their health.”

The hospital called on those wishing to benefit from the initiative to contact the number (5055) for booking and inquiries, stressing that “women’s health is a fundamental priority, and care begins with an early step and decision.”

Through its healthcare institutions, the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine reaffirmed its firm commitment to promoting a culture of prevention and enhancing the quality of medical care provided to women, stemming from its humanitarian and social responsibility. The initiative also represents a practical call for every woman to make a conscious decision regarding her health by undergoing early screening, which remains the most important means of reassurance and risk reduction.
