El-Kerbala'i, Strong-Wordedly Condemns the Acts of the ISIS Terrorist Groups

Aug 8, 2014. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala'i, mentioned three issues: First. In the last couple of days, the ISIS terrorist groups have occupied some other areas, and murdered so many men of their inhabitants; who are mostly Christians, Yazidi, and Shabak people, took women as captives, and caused to force tens of thousands of them to escape, where many others are inhabiting the mountains suffering from poverty and thirsty, and therefore children perished. The terrorists devastated many religious centers of different religions and denominations and devastated even the Muslims', Christians', and Yazidi people's heritage. His Eminence also strongly condemned all these criminal acts against humanity, and mentioned that the terrorists are targeting all people with no exception. Therefore, all Iraqi people must shoulder their responsibilities and stand against those inhumane militant groups in order to eliminate this danger that threatens the present and future. Second. This critical situation of the ISIS terrorist groups, murdering all people calls the international community to take a real, decisive stand against what is taking place nowadays. Moreover, the ISIS terrorist groups declared that they are planning to target other countries, and what happened in Lebanon is a clear sign of that. It is not enough to raise condemning statements or sending some aids to those displaced people, but there must be a great cooperation with the Iraqi government in laying out plans to annihilate those terrorists before more people fall victims. Third. All candidates should observe Allah in taking care of the Iraqis' interest, and they should elect the most qualified candidate; who can unify all the political spectrum and solve the issues of the country. All candidates should know that clinging persistently into position is so bad a fault, in which all politicians; who feel the responsibility, must avoid. Translated by: Mohammed Jasim
