In commemoration of the birth of the Prophet of Mercy, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), the Intellectual and Cultural Activities Division in Mosul, affiliated with the Religious Affairs Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in cooperation with the Husayniyah of Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), organized a joyful religious gathering in the Tal Afar district of Mosul.
Sheikh Khalil Al-Ulaiwi, head of the division, stated that “the event opened with a recitation of the Holy Qur’an by members of the Al-Sadiq Al-Amin Qur’anic Association, whose verses created a deeply spiritual and reverent atmosphere among the audience.”
He added that “the program included a welcoming speech by Haj Faisal Julak, followed by Sayyid Mohammed Al-Babwati, who highlighted inspiring aspects of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), emphasizing the greatness of his character and his eternal role in guiding humanity. The gathering also featured remarks from a representative of the Sunni Endowment, who highlighted the values of Islamic unity and brotherhood brought forth by the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family).”
Al-Ulaiwi noted that “the celebration concluded with poetry and eulogies praising the noble qualities and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family).”
He concluded by saying that “these spiritual moments reflected the joy and love of this blessed occasion, reaffirming the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s commitment to commemorating religious events that strengthen the values of tolerance and unity within society.”
