In commemoration of the radiant births of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson, the Sixth Imam Jaafar bin Muhammad Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), the Al-Kadhimiya Holy Shrine has inaugurated the seventh edition of the Spring of Birth Festival under the slogan: “On the Path of Ahmad.”
According to the Shrine’s official website, the festival opened with Quran Day, which honored 225 male and female students who successfully completed specialized, ongoing courses. These included correct recitation, advanced and verified recitation, rules of tajweed, interpretation and Quranic sciences, voice performance development, and maqamat training in both the Iraqi and Egyptian styles.
The festival was attended by a distinguished group of professors, Quranic scholars, students of Quranic courses, and a large gathering of pilgrims.
