Al-Zahraa University Launches Iraq’s First Integrated Technology Camp

Al-Zahraa University for Women has announced the completion of all preparations for the launch of the technological training camp, NextGen Coders Camp 26, which is considered the first of its kind in the Holy City of Karbala and Iraq, with the participation of a distinguished group of young trainers specializing in programming and modern technologies.

Speaking to the official website, Rabab Mahmoud Taqi, Head of the Media Division at the College of Engineering, said that "Al-Zahraa University for Women has completed all preparations for the launch of the NextGen Coders Camp 26 technological training camp, which is the first of its kind in the Holy City of Karbala and Iraq, with the participation of a select group of young trainers specializing in programming and modern technologies." She noted that "the camp is being organized in cooperation with the Athar Al-Khalideen Team, the Gifted Care Authority, and the Alpha Programming Club."

She explained that "the camp’s activities will begin on (10 June) at the College of Engineering at Al-Zahraa University for Women, while the training courses will commence immediately after the opening ceremony as part of a training program that will continue for two months."

She added that "the camp targets males and females aged (7–18) years, with the aim of developing their technical skills and preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements through an interactive educational environment that combines theoretical learning with practical application."

She continued that "the camp includes a number of specialized tracks that allow trainees to choose the field they wish to explore in greater depth, including programming in (Python), artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, web development, software development, and digital design, in addition to human development programs and personal skills development."

She pointed out that "the training process will involve a group of specialized young programmers, alongside a number of female students from the College of Engineering, within a vision aimed at transferring practical expertise and promoting a spirit of cooperation and shared learning among participants."

The launch of NextGen Coders Camp 26 comes as part of the efforts of Al-Zahraa University for Women to support digital transformation and develop the capabilities of youth and emerging generations in modern technological fields. The initiative seeks to provide specialized training programs that contribute to discovering technical talents and refining their skills in line with labor market requirements and the rapid developments in programming, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, while also promoting a culture of innovation and creativity among future generations.
