The Department of Engineering and Technical Projects at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of work on the Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) Complex for Quranic Sciences and Institutes, located on the (Baghdad – Karbala) road.
The project manager, Engineer Eelaf Imad Haidar, said in an interview with the (Official Website) that "the project is being constructed on a land area of 2,276 m², while the total built-up area of the complex spans approximately 14,972 m², distributed across two main buildings designed in accordance with the latest engineering standards and Islamic architectural identity."
He explained that "the first building consists of 11 floors (including a basement, a ground floor, and 10 typical upper floors) over an area of 14,316 m², and includes administrative offices, classrooms, e-learning halls, computer laboratories, and floors designated for accommodation and a prayer room; whereas the second building consists of two floors, with a height of 9 meters per floor over an area of 652 m², and features a modern theater, activity halls, and a central restaurant."
He added that "the project, located in (Al-Abbas Neighborhood - Pole 34), also includes centers for children's activities, multi-purpose halls, and integrated service and health facilities, aimed at providing an exemplary environment for researchers and students."
It is worth noting that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to execute numerous urban, educational, and service projects across various governorates, with the goal of consolidating Quranic culture and developing the infrastructure of educational and religious institutions.
