Imam Hussain Shrine Secretary-General Urges Graduates to Uphold Moral Responsibility

The Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Professor Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayji, emphasized that graduates are called upon to assume their moral and social responsibilities in protecting the family and society, contributing to the promotion of human values, and fostering a stable and secure environment. His remarks were delivered during the central graduation ceremony organized by the Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in the area between the Two Holy Shrines.

The Secretary-General stated that “today, the graduating students bear two medals: the first is the medal of Hussaini values, represented by faith, chastity, courage, and enjoining good and forbidding evil, especially amid the challenges of the era of social media; and the second is the medal of construction and progress, as they represent Iraq’s hope for reconstruction, development, and prosperity.”

He explained that “Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) offered the greatest sacrifices in defense of Islam and raised the banner of rejection in the face of injustice and deviation, so that his revolution has remained a beacon for the free for more than (1400) years, and that this sacred land has been watered by the blood of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in defense of truth and dignity.”

He stressed that “graduates are required to shoulder their moral and social responsibilities in safeguarding the family and society, promoting human values, building a stable and secure environment, and carrying the message of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) to their cities and homes, as true reform begins with awareness and upright conduct.”

The graduation ceremony, organized by the Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation Department, was attended by approximately (3000) students from various universities representing a number of Iraqi provinces. The event comes within the efforts of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to reinforce a system of ethical values, strengthen Hussaini identity within university communities, and build a conscious generation that combines doctrinal commitment with social responsibility and actively contributes to reconstruction, development, and service to the nation.
