Wahhabi Scholar Commends Efforts Of Islamic Supreme Religious Authority And Holy Shrines

Through coordination with the El-Kawthar Islamic University of Pakistan, the Holy Shrines of Iraq held a discussion seminar under the title "Interfaith Dialogue Conference" with the participation of numerous scholars from the Wahhabi, Salafi, Hanbali, Shafi'i, and Deobandi Islamic denominations.

Moreover, Sheikh Ali El-Fetlawi delivered a speech on behalf of Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Karbala'i, Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine where His Eminence indicates the significance behind the unification of all Muslims and Islamic denominations.

El-Karbala'i references back to the narrations of Ahlul-Bait who order their followers to respect everyone whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim.

However, when El-Fetlawi finished his speech, a Wahhabi scholar approached him and commended the efforts of the Holy Shrine in spreading the true teachings of Islam and Ahlul-Bait (Peace Be Upon Them).

The Wahhabi scholar mentioned a quote by Imam Ali which states, "There are two types of people: either a brother to you in Religion or a reflect in creation."

The scholar further commended the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali Es-Sistani for his efforts in uniting the Islamic communities.
