The Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala'i welcomed the Shiite Leader, Sheikh Bekar Muhammad Ali from Mauritania.
El-Bekar stated during the interview that the motive behind his visit is to build a form of communication with the Supreme Religious Authority to raise awareness in the Shiite community of Mauritania.
It is also significant to note the majority of citizens of Mauritania descend from Lady Zaynab, the daughter of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him).
