Imam Zain Al-Abideen Hospital Removes Complex Spinal Tumor Under “Ramadan Al-Khair” Initiative

The Imam Zain Al-Abideen Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the successful completion of a specialized surgical procedure to remove a complex spinal cord tumor for a patient who lived for more than (20) years without hope, as part of the free “Ramadan Al-Khair” initiative aimed at providing advanced medical care to patients.

Mustafa Al-Mousawi, Director of Media at the hospital, said in a statement to the official website that “the Imam Zain Al-Abideen Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, succeeded in performing a specialized surgery to remove a complex spinal cord tumor for a patient who lived for more than (20) years without hope, within the free ‘Ramadan Al-Khair’ initiative aimed at delivering advanced healthcare services to patients.”

He explained that “the operation was carried out with extreme precision to preserve delicate nerves and blood vessels,” stressing “the importance of the initiative in enhancing the delivery of specialized medical services during the month of Ramadan.”

He noted that “the procedure was supervised by neurosurgery specialist Dr. Youssef Al-Hatem,” adding that “the success of this advanced surgery reflects the level of medical expertise and modern technologies available at the hospital.”

This surgery comes as part of a series of medical initiatives implemented by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine during the month of Ramadan, aimed at improving healthcare services and providing hope to patients across various surgical specialties.
