Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to Launch Fourth Alwan Children’s Drawing Competition

The Childhood Care and Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the completion of all preparations for the launch of the fourth Alwan Grand Drawing Competition, aimed at identifying and nurturing talented children in the field of drawing and color use.

Ali Al-Hakim, head of the department’s Media Unit, told the official website that “the Childhood Care and Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has finalized all preparations for the launch of the fourth Alwan Grand Drawing Competition,” noting that “the competition will begin on (14 February of the current month).”

He explained that “the competition targets gifted children in drawing and the use of colors between the ages of (9–13) years, within a vision that seeks to embrace and support artistic talents among children across various Iraqi provinces.”

He added that “the competition will be held in (Holy Karbala, Najaf Al-Ashraf, Dhi Qar, Diwaniyah, and Babylon), in cooperation with a number of cultural institutions.”

He further stated that “the competition will be conducted using wooden coloring pencils, with the competition administration ensuring the provision of all necessary supplies, including colors, paper, stationery, and coloring tools, while allowing children who wish to bring their own materials to do so.”

The Alwan Grand Drawing Competition is part of a series of cultural and artistic activities organized by the Childhood Care and Development Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, aimed at developing children’s creative abilities and discovering and nurturing artistic talents at an early age.
