In line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to enhance campus sustainability and encourage student environmental initiatives, Al-Warith Al-Anbiya University, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), has launched a large-scale tree-planting campaign organized by the Agricultural Division of the Administrative Affairs Department.
The Head of the Media and Government Communication Department, Hussein Hamed Al-Mousawi, told the official website that “the campaign included planting several areas within the university campus, with the active participation of faculty members and students, aiming to promote environmental awareness and foster a spirit of community engagement in protecting nature.”
He added that “this initiative is part of the university’s ongoing efforts to expand its green infrastructure, creating a healthy and appealing learning environment that supports both academic and extracurricular activities.”
The campaign is one of the university’s annual environmental initiatives, reflecting its commitment to integrating ecological values and awareness into campus culture, while empowering students to play an active role in environmental and community development.
