Imam Hussain Guesthouse Prepares Meal Services for Mid-Sha‘ban Pilgrims

The Imam Hussain Guesthouse Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the completion of all preparations related to providing meals for pilgrims arriving in Karbala to commemorate the Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage.

The head of the department, Professor Adnan Al-Naqeeb, told the official website that “the Imam Hussain Guesthouse Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has completed all preparations for serving meals to pilgrims coming to Karbala to observe the Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage.”

He explained that “the plan will come into effect starting on the (14th) of Sha‘ban and will continue for a period of (3) days, with the possibility of extending the plan. It includes the provision of (3) meals per day, in addition to incorporating sweets, fruits, and juices into the hospitality program.”

He added that “the service will be provided through two main locations: the first at Bab Al-Karama (the central guesthouse), and the second on Al-Sidra Street, to ensure that meals reach the largest possible number of pilgrims.”

He continued by stating that “the guesthouse services are not limited to pilgrims alone, but also include employees of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, supporting entities from the security forces of all branches, as well as volunteers arriving from various Iraqi governorates.”

These efforts come within the framework of the comprehensive service plan adopted by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to ensure the highest levels of hospitality and care for pilgrims during the Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage. This reflects the spirit of Hussaini service and demonstrates the readiness of the shrine’s institutions to support humanitarian and service efforts, while providing an appropriate environment for observing this million-visitor occasion.
