The Engineering and Technical Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced that work is ongoing on the construction of date storage facilities at the Fadak Palm Farm, aimed at enhancing storage and cooling capacity and improving the efficiency of the agricultural production system.
According to a statement from the department, received by the official website, “The Engineering and Technical Projects Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to implement the date storage project at the Fadak Palm Farm as part of a comprehensive development plan designed to upgrade the farm’s services and expand its essential facilities.”
The statement explained that “the current construction represents a qualitative step forward in the farm’s infrastructure, as a new administrative building of 300 m², consisting of two floors, is being built, in addition to the construction of fully integrated steel structures covering a total area of 3,500 m².”
It added that “the project includes the construction of four freezing storage units, each with an area of 100 m², along with the installation of two large refrigeration rooms for date preservation, each measuring 200 m². This will significantly strengthen storage and preservation capabilities in line with the highest technical standards.”
The department noted that “all of these works are being executed entirely by its engineering and technical staff, as part of an effort to improve the infrastructure of the Fadak Palm Farm and enhance its production and service capacity.”
The establishment of these date storage facilities is part of a broader strategic plan aimed at modernizing the infrastructure of the Fadak Palm Farm, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, and expanding its operational capacity to ensure improved product quality and meet growing demand.
