A delegation from the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine met with Indonesia’s newly appointed ambassador to Iraq, Didik Eko Pujianto, at the Indonesian Embassy in Baghdad. The delegation included Sheikh Hassan Al-Mansouri, Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine for Qur’anic Affairs; Sheikh Ali Al-Qarraawi, Head of the Bayyina Center for Intellectual and Cultural Security; and the supervisors of the International Qur’anic Preaching Center, Mr. Muntazar Al-Mansouri and Mr. Muhammad Baqir Al-Mansouri.
According to the Center’s representative, “His Excellency the Ambassador welcomed the delegation, expressing his familiarity with the extensive Qur’anic activities carried out by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Indonesia over the past fifteen years. He praised the efforts of the International Qur’anic Preaching Center in teaching the Holy Qur’an and organizing Qur’anic programs and events in major mosques and religious institutes there, affirming that these efforts have left a positive impact on the hearts of the Indonesian people and contributed to strengthening the bonds of affection between the Indonesian and Iraqi nations.”
The representative added that “the delegation invited Ambassador Poedjianto to visit the holy city of Karbala to meet the legal custodian and the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, and to observe its cultural and service projects firsthand. He emphasized the Center’s readiness to further develop avenues of mutual cooperation with Qur’anic and religious institutions in Indonesia in the upcoming period.”
