Imam Hussain Courtyard Hosts Closing Ceremony of the Mirza Al-Naeini Conference

The head of the Religious Affairs Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Safi, emphasized the importance of honoring great scholars and studying their lives so they may serve as role models for students. His remarks came during the closing ceremony of the Mirza Muhammad Hussein Al-Naeini Conference, held in the sacred courtyard of Imam Hussain (A.S.), in the presence of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, along with several scholars of the hawza and academic figures.

Sheikh Al-Safi stated that “the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, under the direction of its legal custodian and the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, has always placed great value on knowledge, scholars, and scientific and research institutions.”

He explained that “this support has been evident through the care given to religious schools and institutes, the publication of scientific encyclopedias and scholarly works, and the organization of academic conferences, such as the Ibn Fahd Al-Hilli Conference and the Al-Wahid Al-Behbahani Conference, along with publishing their writings and contributions.”

He added that “the Shrine has also revived and published the works of the late Sayyid Muhammad Mahdi Al-Khurasan, who was pleased with this effort during his lifetime, in cooperation with researchers and specialists.”

Sheikh Al-Safi continued: “These initiatives reflect an ongoing commitment to honoring scholarly figures, and it is possible that future efforts will head toward holding a conference on the life of Sharif Al-Ulama Al-Mazandarani.”

He pointed out that “conferences, gatherings, and scholarly forums will continue, God willing, thanks to the dedication of researchers and scholars who strive tirelessly to preserve the memory of these esteemed figures.”

It is worth noting that the conference was part of a series of joint academic programs undertaken by the Imam Hussain and Imam Ali Holy Shrines to support intellectual activity and revive the heritage of the leading scholars of the Ahlulbayt (A.S.) school.
