Warith Al-Anbiya University Earns Second Place Among Distinguished Universities at Iraq Science Day 2025 Awards

Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), has achieved second place in the Distinguished Universities category at the Iraq Science Day 2025 Awards, recognizing its continued excellence in advancing education, scientific research, and community service.

Hussein Hamed Al-Mousawi, Director of the Media and Government Communications Department at the university, stated to the official website, “Warith Al-Anbiya University, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, secured second place in the Distinguished Universities category at the Iraq Science Day 2025 Awards, crowning its ongoing journey in developing the educational and research environment and serving society.”

He explained that this achievement reflects the university’s growing academic standing, made possible by the administration’s support and the dedicated efforts of its faculty and staff. Al-Mousawi added that the recognition represents the fruit of the university’s strategic vision aimed at enhancing quality standards and achieving academic excellence.

The award ceremony took place during the Iraq Education Conference 2025 (second edition), inaugurated by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event featured broad participation from international experts and renowned academic institutions, including Times Higher Education (THE), Clarivate, Elsevier Publishing House, QS International Organization, and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, alongside university presidents, deans, and representatives of diplomatic missions.

This recognition reaffirms Warith Al-Anbiya University’s distinguished position within Iraq’s higher education landscape and reflects its vision of becoming a leading institution locally and a regional and global contributor, through an innovative academic environment and high-quality educational outcomes.
