Closing ceremony of cultural week in Islamabad

In a wonderful atmosphere where thousands of the followers of Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them) were gathering, the third cultural week held in Islamabad, Pakistan has been closed.A stately ceremony was held, inaugurated with reciting some holy verses of the Noble Quran followed by a speech delivered by His Eminence sheikh Anwar Ali En-Nejefi, president of Alkawther University, in which he said: “We have been blessed by the Almighty Allah and supported by the holy shrines and the Shia Endowment Bureau to increase the number of the candidates going to visit the holy shrines in Iraq”. He also hoped that the El-Eskereyain Holy Shrine will participate in the cultural week next year.Hi Eminence sheikh Muhsim En-Nejefi, representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority in Pakistan, honored an elite of new graduates with turbans and flowers before furthering their studies in Nejaf City, Iraq. The heads of the delegations awarded the teachers of Alkawther University prizes, then drew lots to grant the winners a visit to the holy shrines in Iraq. Afdhel Esh-Shami, Deputy Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine delivered a speech in which he said: “The care of the holy shrines, the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, and the Iraqi people for reviving the Husseinian rituals participated so much in maintaining Islam in Iraq”. He added that the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority played a prominent role in solving many issues Iraq faced recently. He then said further that the holy shrines are not only for Iraqi people, but they are for all people, and if they are endangered, then all people concerned are required to defend them.His Eminence sheikh Musin En-Nejefi concluded the ceremony by honoring the heads of the participating delegations, and then delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude for the unique contribution of the holy shrines and sent his greetings to His Eminence sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala’e; Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine for the great vision he has of Pakistan, and to His Eminence sayyid Ahmed Es-Safi; Secretary-General of the El-Abbas Holy Shrine.
