The Department of Art Education in the College of Education at Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, achieved 3rd place in the Fine Arts Festival for Iraqi Universities, featuring the participation of (63) public and private universities alongside several institutes from various governorates across Iraq.
In a statement obtained by the official website, the university said that "the Department of Art Education in the College of Education at Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, secured 3rd place in the Fine Arts Festival for Iraqi Universities. The event was organized by the Department of Student Activities in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Apparatus at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and hosted by the University of Baghdad, with the participation of (63) public and private universities, as well as several institutes from various governorates across Iraq."
It explained that "securing 3rd place came through an artwork presented by the student Noor Al-Huda, in the first-ever participation of the Art Education Department in the festival, which featured competition among diverse artistic works by Iraqi university students—making this win a significant milestone in the department's journey and artistic contributions."
It added that "this participation aligns with its orientation aimed at strengthening its female students' presence in artistic and cultural arenas, providing them with the opportunity to highlight their talents and develop their skills in fine arts, thereby contributing to enhancing their creative capabilities and refining their artistic experience."
It further noted that "this achievement reflects the continuous commitment to supporting student activities and encouraging young talent, in addition to creating an appropriate environment for nurturing artistic abilities and motivating female students to deliver creative works capable of competing in university festivals and competitions."
This accomplishment comes as part of the efforts of Al-Zahraa (peace be upon her) University for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, to nurture student talent, elevate the artistic and creative standing of its female students, and foster their involvement in university events and festivals to highlight their potential and represent the university across various platforms.
