The Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the Al-Warith Center for Creativity and Talent Development, has announced the reopening of registration for Soroban (mental arithmetic) courses in response to requests from many parents and due to the strong demand witnessed during previous sessions of the program.
Speaking to the official website, the head of the department, Mohammed Al-Nasrawi, said that "the Youth Development and Social Rehabilitation Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the Al-Warith Center for Creativity and Talent Development, has reopened registration for Soroban (mental arithmetic) courses in response to the requests of many parents and the significant turnout experienced by the program during its previous courses."
He explained that "the program aims to develop children's cognitive abilities and enhance their mathematical skills through a range of specialized educational and training activities."
He added that "participants in the courses will learn a number of skills, most notably strengthening memory and quick thinking, improving concentration and self-confidence, and acquiring advanced mental arithmetic skills. They will also take part in a variety of developmental, cultural, recreational, and artistic activities that contribute to the comprehensive development of the child's personality."
He noted that "the targeted age group is between (6–15) years, and registration can be completed directly at the center's location in Holy Karbala – Al-Muwadhafeen District – behind Al-Taf Club. Registration hours are daily from (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.), except on Fridays."
