Opening Ceremony For 11th Global Annual Martyrdom Spring Conference

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine witnessed the launching of the 11th Global Annual Martyrdom Spring Conference hosted under the title "Imam Hussein – Divine Mercy and Call Of Humanity."

The conference coincided with the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein, Imam Es-Sajjad, and El-Abbas (Peace Be Upon Them).

The opening ceremony of the Conference began with a mesmerizing recitation of the Holy Quran then a speech by Sayyed Ahmed Es-Safi, Secretary-General of the El-Abbas Holy Shrine.

Es-Safi began his speech by welcoming the guests and delegates and indicated the significance behind hosting such religious events.

Es-Safi mentioned several important points regarding this blessed occasion:

First:

This conference is an annual meeting point to examine and discuss the presented ideas, visions, and scientific researches. It is also a way of recognizing and discussing the roles of religious scholars, scientists, and researchers from all religions and faiths in spreading the divine teachings of God and Ahlul-Bait (Peace Be Upon Them).

 Second:

Nonetheless, Es-Safi indicated that the recent activities around the world and especially in Iraq have been practiced in the name of Islam and claim to represent a specific group of religion. Such practices are far from the teachings of any religion and faith. For this reason, it is the responsibility of all the believers who follow the doctrine of God to reject and stand against such actions.

Es-Safi concluded his speech by thanking the guests and requesting from Allah the Almighty to shed His blessings and mercy upon everyone as well as guide the people of all religions and faith to the path of righteousness.

On the other hand, Sheikh Abdul-Hussein Sadiq recited a poem praising Ahlul-Bait (Peace Be Upon Them), then delivered a congratulatory messages on behalf of the Religious Scholars of Qum.

Hence, the opening ceremony was concluded by honoring a number of soldiers from the Iraqi Armed group and volunteers for their courageous efforts against ISIS.
