Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Cultural Center in Istanbul Commemorates Arbaeen

The Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Cultural Center in Istanbul, in cooperation with the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) Foundation, organized a program to commemorate the blessed Arbaeen anniversary at Imam Ali Mosque in the Buyukcekmece district on the outskirts of the city.

The program opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by congregational prayers led by Sheikh Mikail Korel. Afterwards, the center’s director, Sabah Al-Talqani, delivered a speech highlighting narrations from the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) that urge Muslims to uphold the visitation of Imam Hussain and to keep alive the principles of his blessed uprising. He emphasized that these practices strengthen loyalty to the pure Imams, renunciation of their enemies, and steadfastness on the path of truth, justice, and humanity.

Al-Talqani further noted that the Imam Hussain Cultural Center in Istanbul, established by the Media Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, seeks to enhance cooperation with religious and cultural institutions in Turkey, thereby contributing to stronger ties and harmony between the Iraqi and Turkish peoples.

The mosque’s congregational prayer leader also delivered a sermon, stressing that the faithful in Turkey remain committed to the guardianship of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), steadfast in their devotion to visiting the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him). He added that this loyalty is passed down from fathers to sons across generations, growing deeper, more conscious, and more heartfelt with time.

The program concluded with the distribution of hospitality meals to attendees, followed by a religious quiz competition in which the winners received blessed gifts from the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain.

Finally, the flag of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) was raised inside the mosque, as participants gathered to seek blessings and spiritual connection from the sacred aura of Karbala.
