People of Karachi in Pakistan sent a letter to the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine requesting from his Eminence to host the next Cultural Week in their city as well as raise the banner of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him); similar to the past Week in Islamabad.
Sheikh Sharifi, Professor at the El-Kawthar Islamic University stated during an interview that a large delegation team from Karachi arrived in Islamabad to participate in the conclusion ceremony of the past Cultural Week.
It is also significant to note, that there are approximately 8 million Shi'ites in Karachi who are victims of sectarianism by terrorist organizations.
