Es-Safi: Government Must Maintain Rights Of Martyrs And Develop Solutions For Water Scarcity Crisis

Apr 10, 2015. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, His Eminence Sayyed Ahmed Es-Safi mentioned two important points:

First:

The efforts of the brave and courageous Military Forces, volunteers, and tribe members contributed to the recent security developments which resulted in the freeing of numerous Iraqi cities.

However, we must not forget or overlook the efforts of the ones who sacrificed and dedicated their lives for the sake of achieving freedom for their country.

For this reason, a few serious procedures must be taken in terms:

Hasten the process of providing all the necessary requirements to maintain the rights of the martyrs and wounded individuals along with their families. Taking care of the Iraqi fighters and the places of training which have been neglected by a few departments of the government. As previously mentioned, the government must provide the deserved financial support for the Iraqi fighters who have not received any funding for past 8 months. The volunteers, Iraqi Armed groups, and the Military Forces are suffering from the lack of medical, and weaponry support. Hence, the government is responsible for delivering the necessary support to achieve more victories and overcome the threat of terrorism.

Second:

There is information indicating the scarcity of water in various agricultural and livestock areas of the country.

The responsible departments of the government must prioritize the water source in terms of:

Finding immediate solutions for this crisis; however, this requires enormous efforts to be executed on those grounds. Over the past years, precise projects have not been seen nor implemented to fix this issue. For this reason government officials must develop strategic solutions and procedures to overcome this unnecessary crisis.
