The Preparatory Committee for the Global Martyrdom Spring Conference launched the second edition of the Husseini Documentary Contest.
Sheikh Amar El-Hilali, member of the Committee states that due to the success of the previous contest, the Cultural and Intellectual Affairs Division decided to launch the second edition with the introduction of new rules and conditions.
The rules and conditions are as follows:
The documentary must deal with a subject revolving around the Story of Imam Hussein as well as serving the purpose of the Conference. The film cannot be submitted previously or published. The language of the film should be in Arabic or containing Arabic subtitles. The duration of the film should not exceed 40 minutes The finished product (film) must be submitted by the 29th of April 2015 either by hardcopy (DVD) at the Documentary Committee Office or electronically via email at (rabee@alkafeel.net). The submitted product (DVD or electronic edition) must contain: Film Tittle, film length, name of director, language of film (If not in Arabic), Full Name, Email, Country, City, and phone number. The film must not contain a logo other than the logo of the Conference.The Committee will choose the best three films that coincide with the topic of the Conference; where the first winner will receive $5,000, the second winner will receive $3,500, and the third winner will receive $2,000.
The Committee has also allocated seven prizes ($1,000 each) to the best seven films.
