Mar 20, 2015. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala'i mentioned two important issues:
First:
During the past few days, the Armed Forces and Federal Police from Salahunddin and Anbar have achieved numerous victories against the terrorist group ISIS with the support of the brave Volunteers.
The efforts of the two provinces are highly appreciated and our prayers go to the heroes who dedicated their lives for the sake of the country and their fellow citizens.
However, there are media corporations and corrupt individuals which seek to weaken the morale of the fighters and introduce fear and anxiety in them through broadcasting false information, accusations, and events while falsely magnifying the threat of ISIS.
For this reason, the fighters must ignore the dishonest individuals; and it’s the responsibility of the government to arrest them along with the corporations supporting them.
Second:
The country is currently going through a difficult a situation due to displacement of thousands of civilians who lost their homes and land as a result of terrorism.
In addition, the battle against ISIS is resulting in the life loss of many courageous fighters due to the lack of living and weaponry support by the government and especially the Ministry of Defense.
For this reason, the government must provide rapid support for the fighters and develop solutions for the displaced families before it is too late.
