Warith International Cancer Institution, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the launch of an initiative for breast and cervical cancer screening as part of its medical services aimed at promoting early detection and prevention.

The foundation stated in a release obtained by the official website that "the Warith International Cancer Institution, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has launched a free initiative for breast and cervical cancer screening as part of its medical services aimed at promoting early detection and prevention."

The statement explained that "early detection examinations for breast cancer include the consultative clinic, mammogram exam, and breast ultrasound for women aged 40 years and older, and aged 35 years when risk factors are present, while younger age groups may undergo examinations when specific symptoms are present, according to the evaluation of the specialist physician."

It added that "early detection examinations for cervical cancer include the consultative clinic, Pap smear, and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) testing for cases determined by the specialist physician, targeting married women aged 25 to 65 years."

It emphasized that "these services come within the framework of its commitment to providing early detection opportunities for tumors and enhancing health awareness among women, contributing to diagnosing cases at early stages and providing appropriate medical care."
