The Safeer Imam Hussain (PBUH) Health Foundation, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the performance of over 4,700 surgical operations across various medical specialties during September, noting that the procedures included patients from most Iraqi governorates.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Eng. Abbas Abdul Ali, stated to the official website that "medical and healthcare teams performed 4,700 surgical operations during September within multiple surgical specialties, with the participation of specialized medical, nursing, and technical teams."
He added that "the provided medical services covered patients from various Iraqi governorates, reflecting the scale of services provided by the foundation to patients, especially those arriving from outside the Holy Governorate of Karbala."
He explained that "conducting this number of operations comes as part of the foundation's efforts aimed at providing specialized surgical services to citizens and facilitating their access to medical care, alongside contributing to alleviating health and financial burdens on patients and their families."
He emphasized that "the foundation is continuing to offer its surgical and medical services and receive patients from various governorates within its health programs aimed at elevating the level of medical services provided to citizens."
These services fall within the framework of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's concern for the health sector and its support for affiliated medical institutions to provide specialized healthcare to citizens from various regions of Iraq.
