Al-Thaqlayn Cancer Hospital, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in cooperation with Genomalab Medical – UAE and the Warith Life Science Scientific Office, has launched a humanitarian initiative aimed at providing free blood glucose measurement and monitoring devices to diabetes patients of all ages, with priority given to children.
The hospital stated in an announcement obtained by the (Official Website) that "the initiative comes within the framework of supporting diabetes patients in Basra Governorate and assisting them in tracking their blood glucose levels by offering devices that aid in continuous monitoring, thereby contributing to enhancing healthcare and reducing the financial burdens placed on patients and their families."
It explained that "the initiative includes individuals diagnosed with diabetes across various age groups, while priority has been assigned to children, given their need for continuous monitoring of sugar levels and out of a keenness to provide care tools that help their families manage their health condition."
It called on "those wishing to benefit from the initiative to register in advance and inquire via the number (07734098463)," pointing out that "attendance requires completing registration procedures prior to visiting the initiative."
It emphasized that "receiving beneficiaries will be exclusively for those pre-registered, and unregistered individuals will not be permitted entry."
This initiative forms part of the ongoing humanitarian and health efforts directed at supporting diabetes patients, offering the necessary tools to track their medical condition, and boosting access to healthcare services for the most needy groups.
