From Lebanon to Karbala: Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Covers Treatment, Medical Care, and Housing for Young Girl Free of Charge

Imam Zain Al-Abidin (peace be upon him) Hospital, affiliated with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced full coverage for the treatment of a young girl arriving from Lebanon who was suffering from complex health complications. This comes as part of the humanitarian initiatives provided by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to support visiting families and patients by supplying free therapeutic services.

According to a statement issued by the hospital, a copy of which was obtained by the Official Website, "the child (Fatima) arrived with her family from Lebanon after suffering from multiple health problems and eye complications, where she underwent necessary medical examinations and specialized imaging, and the medical team decided to perform a procedure to treat exotropia and evaluate her health condition."

The statement explained that "the surgical operation was conducted successfully after providing the necessary tests and therapeutic services, as well as securing housing and an appropriate environment for her care, under a humanitarian initiative fully sponsored by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine."

It added that "the child continues to receive treatment and medical follow-up, along with the provision of her medical supplies and special eyeglasses, until completing the stages of treatment as determined by the specialized medical team."

For her part, the child's mother (Umm Fatima) stated that "her daughter had been suffering since birth from health issues and genetic disorders, including a deficiency in the sixth gene and hemolysis, in addition to muscle spasms and strabismus in both eyes," noting that "the war conditions in Lebanon prevented regular follow-up for her treatment there."

She added that "upon her daughter's arrival in Karbala, she received exceptional attention and care from Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, where the operation was performed and the necessary medical examinations and suitable accommodation were provided for her."

She pointed out that "the child is continuing to receive treatment and medical follow-up at Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hospital for Blood Diseases, affiliated with Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, alongside ongoing monitoring of her health condition by specialized medical teams."

This initiative comes within the framework of humanitarian and medical efforts offered by Imam Hussain Holy Shrine through its hospitals and health institutions, aiming to provide medical care to needy patients and visitors, and to cover treatments and surgical operations in a manner that contributes to alleviating their suffering and offering opportunities for treatment and care within Iraq.
