Following Torrent Damage: Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Replenishes Chamchamal District Library with Hundreds of Books in Cooperation with Kirkuk Child Culture House

The Assistant Head of the Intellectual Affairs Department, Mr. Mahdi Ahmad, said in an interview with the Official Website that "the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced the replenishment of the Chamchamal district library in Kirkuk Governorate with hundreds of diverse books and volumes, in cooperation with the Child Culture House in Kirkuk, after the library suffered damage from torrents that hit the governorate last year."

He explained that "the publications presented varied across cultural, scientific, and religious books, in addition to releases specifically tailored for children, youth, and university students."

He added that "this initiative represents support for the cultural movement, contributes to spreading knowledge and enhancing values of coexistence and social peace among the various components of the governorate, as well as providing diverse learning resources and making them accessible to readers."

In a related context, the Director of the Child Culture House in Kirkuk, Muhammad Al-Tamimi, stated that "replenishing the library with this number of books and diverse resources represents an important step in supporting the cultural movement," noting the importance of continuing such initiatives that contribute to revitalizing reading and offering knowledge sources to various groups.

This initiative comes within the vision of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the Religious Affairs Department, aimed at supporting libraries with diverse books and resources, promoting the spread of culture and knowledge, and consolidating the values of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in society.
