Warith Al-Anbiyaa University Hosts Arab Board Delegation

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, welcomed an academic delegation from the Arab Board of Health Specializations as part of its efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation and enhance the quality of medical education in line with national and Arab academic standards.

Speaking to the official website, the President of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, Professor Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, said that "Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, hosted a delegation from the Arab Board of Health Specializations headed by Professor Hatioush Faraj Hatioush, Chairman of the Arab Board of General Surgery and former Libyan Minister of Health, and Professor Saad Abdullah Sarsam, Chairman of the Arab Board in Iraq, along with several board members and a number of professors from the Colleges of Medicine at the Universities of Karbala, Al-Qadisiyah, and Hammurabi, as part of efforts to strengthen scientific cooperation and improve the quality of medical education in accordance with national and Arab academic standards."

He added that "the visit came within the strategic policy adopted by the College of Medicine in the areas of evaluation and assessment, with delegation members serving as external examiners and evaluators during the comprehensive clinical examinations for sixth-year medical students. The examinations covered general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology, contributing to strengthening academic rigor and ensuring the quality of medical education outcomes."

He explained that "the delegation conducted a field tour to review the examination process, the level of organization, the number of examination stations, and the smooth performance of the students, in addition to assessing the academic qualifications of the faculty members supervising the examinations. The delegation praised the students' academic and clinical performance, describing it as a reflection of the quality of the educational programs adopted by the college."

He stressed that "hosting external evaluators from the Arab Board of Health Specializations represents an important step toward reinforcing quality standards and academic accreditation, reflecting the scientific standing achieved by Warith Al-Anbiyaa University and its ongoing commitment to keeping pace with international best practices in medical education."
