The preacher of the Eid prayer in Holy Karbala highlighted several messages during the Eid Al-Adha sermon delivered in the area between the two holy shrines, reviewing the severe hardships and crises facing the Islamic nation, as well as the suffering experienced by people through the loss of loved ones, the disappearance of the oppressed, difficulties in burying some bodies or locating them, in addition to the hardships of displacement and the severe trials accompanying it.
Sheikh Salah Al-Karbalaei said that “among the most important matters that should be reflected upon during these blessed days are the positions taken by the noble, courageous, and honorable Iraqi people, which express their authenticity and blessed pure belonging through their honorable response to the call of the Supreme Religious Authority in Holy Najaf, along with the continued material and moral support that accompanied it.”
He explained that “these positions remain, to this day, a source of pride and honor worldwide because they reflect the spirit of sacrifice, solidarity, and patience,” stressing that “through years of hardship, the proud Iraqi people have proven themselves to be a school rich in lessons and practical guidance that deserves to be invested in paths of reform, reconstruction, and service.”
He called for “easing the burdens on the deprived and the youth, as the people are worthy of that and deserve the continuous preparedness, sacrifices, and ongoing giving in the fields of service,” emphasizing “the importance of continuing efforts of support and assistance.”
He added that “this world is a place of passage, not permanence, and a place of decline and disappearance where conditions constantly change for its people. The deceived is the one misled by it, and the miserable is the one tempted by it,” stressing “the importance of keeping this reality present in one’s life and actions.”
He concluded his sermon “with prayers to Almighty God from this honored place and sacred site, asking Him to bless everyone with guidance and righteousness, grant them the path of truth from which they do not deviate, and a sound intention free from doubt, guide them all toward what He loves and is pleased with, grant them success in what is most upright and proper, employ them in what is most pleasing to Him, lead them upon the best path, and make them live and die upon His faith, God willing.”
