He explained that “the campaign represents an important step toward enhancing environmental awareness among younger generations and establishing a culture of caring for nature within educational institutions,” pointing out that “the plan aims to supply schools with olive trees and expand green spaces throughout various areas of the province.”
In a related context, the supervising representative from the Karbala Directorate of Education, Ali Al-Difaai, said that “the campaign launched by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is not limited to planting trees alone, but also aims to instill concepts of environmental awareness among students and reinforce the importance of trees as an essential part of life sustainability, in addition to developing a spirit of responsibility and care for the school environment.”
He added that “what the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has done is a major achievement that deserves appreciation and gratitude, as it continues to lead in implementing specialized initiatives that contribute to serving society and strengthening environmental culture among students.”
It is worth noting that the Al-Warith Academy for Sustainable Development and Strategic Studies continues implementing its olive tree planting project in schools across the province as part of a plan aimed at creating a more sustainable school environment and spreading environmental awareness among different segments of society.
