Al-Sibtain University Launches Donation Drive for Lebanon and Iran

In response to the call of the supreme religious authority and its representative, Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has launched a campaign to collect donations and humanitarian aid in support of the Lebanese and Iranian peoples.

In a statement received by the official website, the university said that “Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has launched a campaign to receive donations and humanitarian assistance in support of the Lebanese and Iranian peoples, as part of its response to the directives of the supreme religious authority and as an embodiment of the values of social and humanitarian solidarity.”

The statement explained that “the campaign stems from the religious, national, and humanitarian responsibility embraced by the university, and its commitment to extending a helping hand to affected populations, particularly under the current circumstances that call for unified efforts and solidarity,” noting that “the campaign has been organized within the university only.”

It added that “Al-Sibtain University launched this campaign to serve as a vital platform for receiving donations and various forms of assistance, with broad participation from faculty members, students, and university staff.”

This campaign comes amid escalating humanitarian challenges facing the Lebanese and Iranian peoples as a result of successive crises that have significantly impacted living and service conditions, prompting urgent humanitarian action to provide support and assistance.
