The Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the delivery of the first convoy from its relief aid campaign to the Iranian Red Crescent in the capital, Tehran, in accordance with the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei.
Assistant head of the Relations Department, Mr. Ahmed Hassan Fahd, said in a statement to the official website that “in line with the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, and under the direct guidance of the legal custodian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, the first relief convoy was delivered to the Iranian Red Crescent in the capital, Tehran.”
He explained that “the handover process took place in Tehran to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, where the relevant authorities began unloading the medical and logistical supplies, which included blankets, machinery, and various medical equipment, in addition to other items supporting the healthcare sector.”
It is worth noting that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine sent, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, its first relief convoy to aid the Iranian people, in response to the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority.
