Imam Hussain Shrine Concludes Ramadan Quran Program Across 17 Provinces

The Dar Al-Quran Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the results of its annual Ramadan Quran program, which included the organization of Quran recitation completions and seminars in 17 Iraqi provinces, as part of its ongoing efforts to spread Quranic culture and enhance religious awareness in society.

The head of the Quran Media Center, Wissam Nadheer Al-Dalfi, said in a statement to the official website that “the Dar Al-Quran Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has concluded its annual Ramadan Quran program, which witnessed broad participation from various segments of society.”

He explained that “the number of Quran completion recitations reached 253, including 133 for men and 95 for women, while the branches of the department across 17 Iraqi provinces recorded 220 completion recitations.”

He added that “the number of Quran completion recitations within the Quran project in Iraqi universities reached 25, while the central recitation held at the Imam Hussain Shrine courtyard included five sessions led by reciters from the holy shrines and different provinces.”

He continued that “the Ramadan Quran program at the Imam Hussain Shrine also included a tafsir recitation session delivered by the head of the department, Sheikh Dr. Khair Al-Din Al-Hadi, in which he addressed the interpretation of verses related to contemporary issues.”

He pointed out that “the central recitation saw the participation of a number of reciters from the holy shrines in Iraq, as well as reciters from Quranic institutions, in addition to members of the security forces, tribal leaders, volunteers serving the Hussaini processions in Karbala province, and university professors from across Iraq.”

This program reflects the growing Quranic presence at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and underscores its continued commitment to adopting impactful initiatives that contribute to strengthening Quranic culture and reinforcing faith-based values across different segments of society.
