As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen prevention and early detection programs, the administration of Al‑Sayyida Khadija Al‑Kubra Specialized Hospital for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, held a presentation to announce the launch of an early detection clinic for breast diseases and cancer, attended by several medical and administrative staff members of the hospital.
The hospital’s director, Dr. Baydaa Al-Tamimi, said in remarks to the (official website) that “the administration of Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Specialized Hospital for Women, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, organized a presentation to announce the launch of an early detection clinic for breast diseases and cancer, attended by a number of medical and administrative staff members. This initiative comes within the hospital’s commitment to strengthening preventive healthcare services provided to women.”
She added that “this step aims to provide specialized medical services for the diagnosis and follow-up of breast diseases and cancer, under the supervision of Dr. Maha Sahib Arhim and Dr. Marwa Issa Yassin, with specialized female medical and nursing staff, and using the latest safe diagnostic technologies.”
She explained that “early screening is a simple and quick procedure, yet it plays a major role in detecting the disease in its early stages, which increases recovery rates and makes treatment easier and more effective.”
The hospital administration called on all women to pay attention to regular medical examinations and to check on their health, stressing that early detection is a fundamental step in prevention and treatment and may help save lives.
