The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine participated in the Karbala International Book Fair, held as part of the 18th Rabi’ Al-Shahada International Cultural Festival. The festival is organized by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to commemorate the birth anniversaries of the blessed Imams.
Mr. Muhammad Al-Araji, head of the Holy Shrine’s pavilion at the book fair, said that the participation included five departments: Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, Islamic and Human Sciences Affairs, the Supreme Commission for Heritage Revival, the Al-Wafi Foundation for Documentation and Studies, and the Holy Quran Scientific Complex.
He explained that the pavilion presented a broad and varied range of publications, including scientific encyclopedias, peer-reviewed academic journals, and religious and doctrinal books. All works on display were researched, prepared, and published by the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine.
Al-Araji noted that this year’s participation witnessed a significant increase in the number of publications compared to previous years, particularly encyclopedias, with approximately 15 new titles introduced. Among the most notable was the Friday Sermons Encyclopedia, which was presented for the first time after being comprehensively researched and documented by the Holy Shrine.
