The Salamatik Home Healthcare Center, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the scope of healthcare services it provided during 2025.
Dr. Mohammed Hamza Kazem, Director of the Center, told the official website that “the Salamatik Home Healthcare Center, operating under the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, delivered specialized services throughout 2025. The center carried out more than 10,872 home visits, in addition to over 350 free visits and services, and implemented 12 free humanitarian initiatives covering several areas of Karbala Province.”
He added that “the number of beneficiaries exceeded 6,800 individuals,” explaining that “services are offered at subsidized rates and are, in most cases, provided either entirely free of charge or at reduced costs, in accordance with the directives of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.”
Dr. Kazem continued, noting that “the center handled more than 480 patient transfers outside Karbala Province, along with over 150 cross-border transfer cases that included transporting patients to border crossings and airports.”
He pointed out that “the center provides a comprehensive range of services, including physician home visits, nursing clinics, laboratory tests, and ambulance transport within Karbala Province and between provinces, as well as external transfers extending beyond Iraq.”
It is worth noting that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in line with the guidance of the Supreme Religious Authority and its legal custodian Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, places significant emphasis on the healthcare and medical sectors to ensure the delivery of the best possible services to patients and visitors.
