The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, visited Al-Zahraa University for Women (peace be upon her), where he was received by the university’s president, Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, along with members of the academic staff.
In his address to a gathering of students, Sheikh Al-Karbala’i expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted by the university’s administration and faculty, praising the institution for its notable scientific achievements and academic distinction.
He emphasized that “this accomplishment reflects the vision of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in establishing strong educational institutions that combine academic knowledge with moral education, aiming to prepare qualified professionals who contribute to the advancement of the state’s institutions and the scientific community.”
The representative also met with several faculty and administrative members, listening to their insights and suggestions on enhancing the educational process. He stressed the importance of nurturing a sense of belonging, responsibility, and teamwork to continuously improve academic and educational performance.
For her part, Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the university’s president, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, noting that “this support has enabled the university to achieve significant milestones both locally and internationally, including its inclusion in global rankings and membership in the Association of Arab Universities.”
She added, “The College of Pharmacy has ranked first in ministerial assessment exams among Iraqi universities for two consecutive years, demonstrating the university’s commitment to building an academic environment that fosters scientific research and innovation.”
This visit underscores the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s continued commitment to supporting the academic journey of Al-Zahraa University for Women.
