The Secretariat-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine prepares to open a Center which specialized in accommodating the deaf and blind segment of Iraq despite race or denomination.
Basim El-Atwani, Center Director and expert in sign language stated that the deaf and blind segment of the country have been neglected and ignored for the past years.
For this reason, this idea was presented to the Secretary General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Karbala'I, who strongly agreed and commended the establishment of such initiatives.
El-Atwani further indicated that the next few days will witness the official opening ceremony of the "Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) Deaf and Blind Center."
