In assistance of the El-Abbas Holy Shrine, the Quran Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has held a closing ceremony for the Quranic courses conducted for students from 22 colleges and institutions.
Many officials and religious scholars attended the ceremony, in addition to 2000 students.
The aim of conducting such Quranic courses is to attract the youth especially the students in order to learn how to read Quran properly; in addition to other necessary Quranic knowledge.
The two Secretariats-General of the Imam Hussein and the El-Abbas Holy Shrines delivered their speech by His Eminence sayyed Ahmed Es-Safi, followed by a speech of the supervisory committee, delivered by Dr. Salim Jari, in addition to some activities and terza rime performed by students.
A representative of the students delivered a speech in which he extended his gratitude to the Imam Hussein and the El-Abbas Holy Shrines for the Quranic courses that enabled them to recite Quran properly. He also hoped that such courses would be re-conducted in the future.
